Registration
Race-day registration and check-in will begin at 8:30 am, October 24 and will take place at the Brown University Rochambeau House.   Make sure to pick up your number before the race. Rochambeau House is located at 84 Prospect St near the starting line.

Team Registration
New to Dash for Diabetes in 2009, assemble a group of five or more family members, friends, and co-workers and register together as a team. Pick a team name and compete in the race for individual honors as well as against other teams for team awards. Each member of the team can register individually, but should make sure to designate the team name on the registration form.

Fundraise the Registration Fee
New to Dash for Diabetes in 2009, participants have the option to fundraise their entrance fee rather than simply paying it out of pocket, as all proceeds of the race help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Fundraise $12 or be ambitious and fundraise more than the amount of the entrance fee. On the day of the race there will be a prize for the individual who raises the most money for the JDRF.

Sign up to fundraise through the 'Register' page, and you will be directed to firstgiving.com. At firstgiving.com you can design and personalize your own account page explaining the cause for which you are fundraising. Then send the web address of your page to friends and relatives via email or any other means. The process is simple; the people you contact can access your webpage and choose to sponsor you runnning the race by paying by credit card at your page. They can pledge any amount they see fit to sponosor your participation in Dash for Diabetes and to aid the JDRF in the search for a cure for diabetes.

The deadline to choose to fundraise for Dash for Diabetes is 10/16.

Walking
Walkers are encouraged to register for Dash for Diabetes and also support the JDRF. The Dash for Diabetes course offers a pleasurable walking experience around and through Brown University's campus. Registration is the same for walkers as it is for runners, and a walk of the course will begin immediately after runners start the race.

Parking
Participants can park their cars along the streets wherever city signs indicate or in the Power St. Parking Garage (located at the intersection of Power St. and Brook St.).

Before the Race
Rest rooms will be available at Rochambeau House and also within the Vartan-Gregorian Quadrangle.  As a service to runners, Dash for Diabetes volunteers will provide clear, plastic bags and name tags for runners to store their personal items at the starting line.  The personal items will then be waiting for pick-up near the finish line after the race.

On the day of the race, extra T-shirts will be available for those who did not pre-register until supplies run out.
