1/24/09. Months into the trial of former President Chen Shui-Bien, accused of embezzling millions of dollars during his tenure, his son and daughter-in-law finally plead guilty in court. They admit that the family has more money invested in jewelry and stocks that are currently in the safekeeping of close friends and relatives. Ms. Wu, the former First Lady, has also promised to appear in court personally.
