Nightmarket!

Brown Taiwan Society will host its annual Nightmarket early this year, on September 13, 2008. The event will take place on the Main Green from 8:00 pm till midnight. Nightmarket is an event that aims to emulate the traditional Taiwanese “yeh shi” and showcase the different cultural colors here at Brown University. There will be food, games, and live performances. BTS has hosted Nightmarket for the past 6 years, but this year, we aim to bring the event to a new level by opening up to all cultural organizations on campus.

Admission is free, but if you would like to buy food, you must purchase tickets, which is the “currency” accepted by vendors. Each ticket will cost 25 cents.

Participating groups include CSA, JCA, KASA, Hanrui, TSA, VSA, HAPA, AASA, FA, HKSA, China Care, the Brown Turkish Cultural Society, and the Bulgarian Club. There will also be performances by Breakdancing, Taekwondo, Lion Dance, and Taiko.
