They provide information on programs, events, and people involved with the history and philosophy of science. Other groups worth looking at are the Society for the History of Technology and the Philosophy of Science Association. The websites for these and more can be found at The European Association for the Study of Science and Technology’s website, http://www.easst.net. For all interested in astronomy, the Planetary Society’s website (www.planetarysociety.org) provides up-to-date information on space news. I’ve also stumbled upon the Musuem and Institute of the History of Science in Florence’s website, http://www.imss.fi.it/index.html. A particular interest of mine within the history of science is Darwin. Dartmouth’s website offers Realplayer translations from a symposium called “Darwinian Evolution Across the Disciplines” held there in 1999. http://www.dartmouth.edu/~dead99/participants.html |
