Meet our 2009-2010 e-board!!
Our executive board, or "e-board" for short, organizes all of SASA's events and acts as our liaison to other groups on campus and in the Providence community. Elected every May, they meet weekly during the school year and work together to make sure that SASA remains relevant, interesting, and fun!

President: Aparna Kumar '10
The president organizes and runs weekly board meetings, delegating duties to other board members as necessary. The president also maintains SASA's finances and represents SASA before the Undergraduate Finance Board and Student Activities Organization.
Vice-President: Rohini Muralidharan '10
The vice-president works with the president to maintain SASA's finances and is also responsible for administering any SASA scholarships. In addition, the vice-president maintains the alumni database and archives photos, records, theses, and other items from past SASA events or South Asian Studies majors.
Secretary: Arushi Pasricha '10
The secretary keeps records of SASA board meetings, budgets, and event details. The secretary is also responsible for inventorying the SASA office as well as keeping the SASA website up-to-date.
Publicity Chair: Soumya Sanyal '10
The publicity chair sends out SASA newsletters on a regular basis and also coordinates publicity for all SASA events. This includes designing and printing table and table slips, creating and filling task schedules for selling tickets, and creating brochures for events.
Community Outreach Chair: Indu Voruganti '12
The community outreach chair is SASA's liaison with the university and the Providence community at large. The community outreach chair stays in touch with Rhode Island's South Asian community leaders and plans community service projects and fundraisers. On campus, the community outreach chair helps plan charity events with other student groups.
Education Co-Chairs: Vaibhav Mathur '12 & Vasundhara Prasad '12
The education co-chairs organize educational events (namely, speakers and discussions) on a regular basis, in addition to an offical lecture series in the spring. The education co-chairs run the Education subcommittee and also help advocate for an expansion of South Asian studies at Brown.
Events Co-Chairs: Faiz Jiwani '12 & Radhika Kumar '12
The events co-chairs are responsible for organizing and running the SASA Dinner Dance in the fall semester, the SASA Cultural Show in the spring, as well as any other SASA events. The events co-chairs also maintain the SASA Pal program and run the Events subcommittee.
