The Matchmaker
CLOSING NIGHT SELECTION
Thursday 2/17 | 7 pm | MacMillan Hall 117
In Haifa during the cultural-sexual upheaval of the sixties, teenage boy Arik finds a summer job working for Holocaust survivor and local matchmaker Yankele Bride. In this coming of age story, the characters that Arik meets along the way offer him glimpses of unspeakable darkness and profound human love through their memories of WWII and current struggles to reinterpret the value of their postwar lives.
