The First Generation College Student Group at Brown University is committed to providing academic and social support for first-gen students. The group aims to foster discussion about the first-gen experience as well as creating a community open to all interested students. Being the first in the family to attend college is a daunting and exciting experience; this group seeks to provide first-gen students with a better understanding of college and, ultimately, make their transition to Brown easier.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact the group’s programmer, Bryant A. Estrada, or check out the FAQ. Please take a look at the Google calendar to view future first-gen events and don’t forget to subscribe to the first-gen list at listserv.brown.edu!
