April 24, 2012

Since 2008, the brothers of the Beta Rho chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity have invested themselves in a "Campaign Creating an Environment for a Cure" to raise money for the Pediatric Oncology Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI.

On April 24th, we will hold our fifth annual silent auction. Local businesses will support the event with donations. Our campaign's success also relies on the support of generous private donors. So far, we have raised over $70,000 to help Hasbro Children's Hospital purchase furniture, entertainment, and equipment for the new Pediatric Oncology Center. We funded a full year of counseling seminars for young patients and their parents. Our goal is to ensure that the children at Hasbro can be as comfortable as possible.

Last year we joined the Palliative Care Team at Hasbro Children's Hospital to fund a Tai Chi program, one of the hospital's first complementary alternative medicine programs. Given the program's success and need for resources, we pledge to continue supporting it this year. Your efforts to help us achieve our goal are invaluable.
